Revenue Accounting Senior Manager

Our client is one of the largest independent solar energy and energy storage owner-operators in the U.S.

The Revenue Accounting Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the billing process, the cash collection process, and revenue accounting ledger. Additional responsibilities include managing the budget to actual review, the account reconciliation review, and the revenue estimate process.

• Oversee the cash application process
• Report related metrics to Vice Presidents and C-Suite
• Strong understanding of the various types of renewable energy revenue streams of the Company
• Ensure monthly close is performed timely to meet internal and external deadlines
• Provide due diligence on new deals, developments and projects to determine revenue recognition and any possible implications
• Manage the transfer of revenue/AR processes for any acquisitions made from third parties
• Partner with senior members across the firm to identify cross vertical gaps in controls, processes, and implementation plans
• Identify potential issues with accounting or procedures and remediate
• Build on process improvements and documentation to improve internal growth
• Coordinate with reporting deliverables with FP&A and SEC Reporting team monthly
• Support the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and MD&A in quarterly 10-Qs and annual 10-Ks
• Work with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Support SOX compliance
• Lead or assist with special projects on an ad-hoc or as requested basis
• Ensure control and supervisory functions are being appropriately performed across the group
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organization skills
• Experience with OneStream and Yardi Voyager a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years of people management
• Fluency in English required (C2 or Native)
• Fast learner with the ability to become a technical expert over time
• Exemplary critical thinking
• Renewables industry and experience in the US market is required
• Revenue/Billing experience is required
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as within a team environment
• Experience with tight deadlines and timeliness for work performed
• Great communication skills
• Strong business acumen
