Project Developer

• Role: Project Developer, Renewable Energy.
• Multinational IPP company is looking for a Project Developer to support the development and permitting processes of our renewable energy projects, assisting the team throughout the full project lifecycle.

• Assist in managing and advancing projects to achieve development and permitting milestones.
• Support and develop an understanding of the permitting process for wind, solar, and storage projects, as well as interconnection and market frameworks necessary for successful project execution.
• Attend meetings with clients and project design professionals.
• Report directly to the Director of Development.
• Permitting: Research required permits for selected sites; coordinate with permitting consultants and attorneys to prepare and submit permit applications and other filings. Develop and maintain a permitting matrix for each project.
• Interconnection: Assist in coordinating with electrical engineering consultants and work with utilities and independent system operators to file interconnection applications; support the advancement of projects through the interconnection process.
• Regulatory Processes: Stay informed of regulatory changes and concerns that could impact projects; assist the regulatory team in participating in relevant processes.
• Internal Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, procurement, construction, energy marketing, and executive team members to define and mitigate project risks and provide updates on project status.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Engineering, Renewable Energy).
• Training or coursework in renewable energy (Wind, Solar, Storage).
• Experience with GIS and CAD software.
• Familiarity with contracts and negotiations.
• 3 years of experience in energy project permitting or development.
• Familiarity with project development processes and renewable energy project budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
• Spanish and English complete working fluency.
