Business Development & Strategy Analyst (Renewable Energy)

About the role:

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY ANALYST (RENEWABLE ENERGY)
  • Madrid.
  • Leading Renewable Energy Company (IPP), developer, owner and operator of green hydrogen projects and hydrogen derivatives including generation of renewable energy, production, transportation, storage and commercialization.

Mission:

  • Reporting to Business Development he/she will be responsible for analyzing markets, identifying opportunities, and supporting the growth of renewable energy and green hydrogen portfolio. This role will support the company’s strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.

Responsabilities:

  • Research and analysis of markets, competitors, and regulatory trends to identify strategic growth opportunities in renewable energy (green hydrogen projects and hydrogen derivatives).
  • Evaluate and identify new project opportunities, partnerships, and M&A deals to expand the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
  • Support the development of financial models to analyze project feasibility, economic returns, and risk scenarios.
  • Analyze potential projects and pipeline opportunities, including technical, economic, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work with internal teams (finance, technical, legal, and operations) to support project development and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, strategy, supporting financial analysis, or management consulting, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and feasibility assessments is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Understanding of the renewable energy industry, including knowledge of IPP models, project financing, and M&A processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; other languages will be an advantage.
